I made this LO for my moms birthday



On Easter we were with family at the beach ( about 1,5 hour driving from home).... a very misty beach... hehe!! The sun was shining ALL over the country....except the beach..

Journaling:
This photograph tells a story: Monique lay reading on the couch, and she had taken her earring off, but she apparently did not know where to lay it down, therefore she slid it on her nose (….)! When she saw that we were laughing out loud, she took it off immediatly.
However, I still had to take a photograph of the day. (we had been to the chronic fatigue centre in Lelystad today and the intention was to make a photograph there…. of course we forgot) . Now I saw my chance!! Unfortunately Monique didn’t see it that way… not even for an extra chocolate egg… I promised that I would blur her eyes, so that she would be more or less unrecognizable… she didn’t even do it for the promise that she could select eating for the day afterwards….no… she did it for not less than a book at the Rank (Christian bookstore)!! First I had something like “yeah…… crazy fool.” but she probably had also already considered that I would say that… so I said: “yes that’s allright!!” She had not expected this at all and therefore she blushed like a fire wagon… lol! But well; it was said and because of that she now is standing in the extreme centre of the photograph, because I want of course to get something in return… lol!!

Journaling: Last Wednesday crashed down a Boeing 737 of Turkish Airlines on Schiphol. Result: 9 deads, among which 3 crew members; more than 50 wounded, of which 6 find themselves in life danger! In spite of this sad number it could have finished still much more terrible!

11 Sam was totally crazy about my glasses this morning! In his way he talked whole stories against the glasses, and he kept ticking against the glass... Miek (Monique) and I were ROFL... Weird birdie!

Friday - Today I went outside to make pictures: it was so beautiful! A clear blue sky with frost... Nature's beautiful!

Saturday - Today Adri made a DVD closet under the window sill. It's almost finished now and yaaaaay... all dvd's fit in!

Sunday - A quick picture of the hycinths: they stood for 3 weeks..! They smell extremely nice!

Monday - Today aunt Ans came to visit us. She's always so vibrant and enthousiastic and wants to see everything that's called digital scrapbooking..!

Tuesday - Today Mettie and I went to Zwolle, to visit the ice sculptures. The subject was the Bible. It was -8 degrees Celcius, we knew that, we were dressed for it. Despite that we came outside with sore toes and fingers! But after a cup of hot chocolate (with cream of course LOL), we went back for a second tour... it was beautiful, very impressive to see!!! Though you could see that the quality of the ice and snow was getting worse, but it was almost the end of the exposistion, so what do you expect...

Wednesday - Miek has got some christmas lights, and Muts adores that! Especially when they are burning, it's so much fun to play with the light...

Thursday - Ah well... Administration day... always a step too far to start, but once you started, it's quite fun!

Before the summerholidays it started for the first time and we're
visiting the veterinary surgeon. Sam became for 5 days medicine;
if it doesn't improve it just look very bad for him.....
but fortunally he's getting better;despite he seems to act to be
murdered, when we gave him the medicine!
Since then it's getting better with Sam, but unfortunatily the trowing up
regularily comes back... as was last monday...
fortunatily he seems to be better, but you can not say that of his haircut....lol

One time a year we go a weekend away with the entire family. The paparazzi was also in 2007 very much to be seen, when all these pictures of nieces and nefhew were raken, except the ones of Veronique and Karlijn, the last one was at that time sitting in her mothers tummy! Kevin thought it a pity that he was the only nephew, he calls himself therefore: the only masculine niece!

Nijntje (Little Rabbit)

This is Nijntje
Nijntje was the favorite cuddly animal
of Monique. Where Monique was, Nijntje
was there too. This Nijntje wasn't her
first cuddly animal, that was a rabbit too,
but he went "swimming in the see",
so that we had to shop on saturday afternoon
for a new cuddly animal, afraid of sleepless
nights. Many shops later, we finally found a
rabbit, but he wasn't approved: it had no ribbon
around the neck...! At last, in desperation, we
took a ribbon off another cuddly animal, and put
that unto Nijntje... and than all was well! That
night we slept very well! Nijntje has been the
favorite cuddly animal of Monique for many years...

Whipped Cream

A long, long time ago (in a country far far away :P), when we were dating eachother, and we ate with my boyfriend's (called A3) parents, A3 was always allowed to finish the whipped cream: instead of whipped cream ON the vanilla pudding (my mom tried to translate that in English in "Blanket vla" hehe), he put the pudding IN the whipped-cream bowl. After our marriage, this "tradition" disappeared, until recently we discussed this at the table, when Monique's boyfriend ate with us... For the picture, and for Nigel, he was allowed to revive the flavour of the past... 19 december 2007
